Cement basket introduction:
Cementing baskets protect weak formations from hydrostatic pressures exerted by the weight of cement columns. Baskets are run above weak formations on casing, tubing, and liner strings and can be used in single or multistage cement jobs. Each
basket is made of a high-strength metal and features overlapping fins to provide maximum flexibility and fluid passage while maintaining optimum support
characteristics.
Slip On Canvas Cementing Basket
The Slip on Canvas Cementing Basket comprises of slip-on type high strength with
flexible bows that are mounted on the end collar.
The cementing basket has ability to accommodate much larger than nominal hole
sizes.
They are available in 4 ½" to 20" sizes and any kind of specific sizes.
With this type of design cementing basket can be rotated and reciprocated.
Bows are hardened and tempered for maximum strength and uniformity.
It is run on casing or liners above weak or porous formations to provide protection
from hydrostatic pressure generated by the cement column.
Its overlapping canvas/metal fins provide flexibility and fluid passages which Maintain optimum support characteristics.
The cementing basket can expand or contract as needed and can be rotated or reciprocated.
Hinged Cementing Basket
It is available in the size range 4-1/2 " to 20".
This device consists of flexible steel spring bows welded to Hinged collars.
Bows are hardened and tempered for maximum strength and uniformity.
