API standard cementing tool float collar and float shoe for casing pipe
1. Description
The float shoe which is connected at the end of casing string functions as guide or back pressure valve. It is a kind of casing shoe which can produce buoyancy. With the advantages of high temperture resistance, good sealing feaure and easy connection, it can be used to replace guide shoe. It can be not only used in the unclassified technical casing, oil layer casing, but also in deep well, extra-deep well and special technology well.
Float collar is installed on the casing and up the float shoe. Like float shoe, it also provide buoyancy to the casing string when it's lowered, reducing the load on the drilling rig. A build-in check valve provides buoyancy to the casing string also prevents cement from re-entering the casing after it's displaced. It's a receptacle to cement plug.

Float shoe is attached on the casing bottom and provide buoyancy to the casing string while it's lowered, reducing the load on the drilling rig. The round nose guides the casing away from ledges and obstructions in the well bores as the casing is lowered. A build-in check valve provides buoyancy to the casing string also prevents cement from re-entering the casing after it is displaced.
